This is what I’m working on right now:

  • project managing the migration of Microsoft Exchange mailboxes & SharePoint data between two different hosting providers;
  • reviewing the feasibility of upgrading a custom-written, business-critical web database, inherited with no documentation;
  • writing copy for ongoing website news story updates for a print & mail company;
  • ongoing IT management and support for an engineering service provider.

Here are some of the projects that I’ve worked on since the start of 2007:

  • creation of an IT policy & procedure framework for a growing privately-held business;
  • creation of a biographical website for a prominent London barrister;
  • deployment of laptops & 3G/HSDPA connectivity for a field service team;
  • migration from POP3 e-mail to Exchange Server with Outlook 2007 clients;
  • creation of multi-page website for a kids’ cookery school;
  • implementation of SharePoint to improve collaboration within a geographically dispersed team;
  • review and documentation of business processes for a product & service provider;
  • redesign of an existing website, editing & re-writing of copy and implementation of content management system for a print & mail company;
  • design of brand new website, copy writing & editing and implementation of content management system for a coaching & development service provider;
  • creation of a multi-page website to market a rental property in Spain;
  • creation of a multi-page website for a forward-looking horticultural society;
  • deployment of BlackBerry units for a very e-mail dependent management team;
  • troubleshooting of website problem and re-creation of missing content for experimental musician/composer:
  • recommending an online coaching course delivery method using WordPress & PayPal;
  • analysing the document & contact management requirements of a property financing specialist;
  • resolving a small business’ PC software installation problems;
  • reorganising a business owner’s home office IT environment (four PCs, two internet connections);
  • installing WordPress and creating a custom template for the brand-new personal blog of a musician;
  • training a small business owner in the use of Microsoft FrontPage;
  • updating an existing client’s website, including some of my own photography.
